Man, that just nails it right there. It’s a betrayal of what I (and I like to think most reasonable people) believe people should be like and how people should treat each other.

My wife’s cousin has a standing invitation to stay at my house with his partner, as partners. But he still struggles with whether or not to come out to his grandparents. Sad.

Congratulations to Seeser and Stoops – may there be many happy years ahead!

you’re just plain awesome, and your daughter is lucky to have a father so unconditionally loving and accepting. seeser and i were blessed with a mother who loved us the same way. i’m glad seeser and stoops are happy with each other, and the same-gender aspect of their relationship is completely secondary in my eyes. first and foremost, they are in love. and that makes me happy.

Thank you so much for passing along such compassion to your daughter and your readers. While such kindness shouldn’t be unusual, it seems as though sometimes it is. Using a picture of me in this way (even without permission) is nothing for which to apologize.

My beloved and I have been lucky that we have received unconditional support from ALL of our family and friends, but it’s always comforting to read about the support of strangers.
